Raleigh, NC, USA — BEEROCITY.com plans to offer the first ‘intergalactic toast’ to Earth’s neighbors by announcing it goal to put the very first beer boot on the moon. In the wake of recent moon exploits such as Stephen Colbert’s International Space Station treadmill, and Sweden’s goal to put the first house on the moon, BEEROCITY believes this will be the very first symbol of universal diplomacy. While the company has received no official “yes’ from major space explorers such as NASA or Virgin Galactic, the company is actively seeking sponsorship for its objective and welcomes all supporters.
Beer boots are large beer glasses that take the form of a glass boot, and are commonly served and passed around at beer festivals as a form of community celebration. Made famous by the Broken Lizard film “Beerfest”, the beer boot market has since boomed, being demanded around the globe by college students, bars, fraternities, and even as engraved wedding gifts for groomsmen.
BEEROCITY.com claims their goal is a promotion of the ‘grand community celebration’, and believes its moon plans are the equivalent to extending a peaceful hand to both Earth’s nation-states as well as extra-terrestrial life forms. BEEROCITY’s one and only request is that the astronaut who carries out the beer boot moon mission must shout the following phrase upon arrival “One beer glass for man, One giant boot for man-kind”.
